November 15-28, 2018: Travel and Devotion (EGYPT-ISRAEL-JORDAN)

ITINERARY

DEPARTS CLARK in the evening and take connecting flight to CAIRO via Dubai. Enjoy the airline’s superb inflight services.

 

DAY 01 NOV 16: ARRIVAL CAIRO. Arrive Cairo airport in the afternoon. Meet and assist then proceed to hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.

 

DAY 02 NOV 17: CAIRO.Hotel breakfast. Start full day tour in Cairo including visits to the World’s Ancient Wonder – The Great Pyramids of Giza and The Sphinx. Continue to the Egyptian Museum. Proceed to Hanging Church, Abu Serga Church, and the exact place where Joseph, Mary and the Child Jesus stayed during their “Flight To Egypt”. Then last stop will be at Khan El Khalili Bazaar for shopping, go for the  Nile River Belly Dancing Dinner. Back to hotel for overnight.

 

DAY 03 NOV 18: CAIRO – MOUNT SINAI. Hotel breakfast and check-out. Continue drive to the Suez Canal to cross under the water tunnel into Sinai. Visit Moses Springs on way to St. Catherine and arrive at Wadi El Raha Village for check-in, dinner and overnight.

 

DAY 04 NOV 19: MT. SINAI TO JERUSALEM. Early wake up for those who wish to climb Mount Sinai and do what Moses exactly did and to see amazing sunrise in a picture-perfect horizon at the camel stop which is almost at the summit. Return for breakfast and check-out. Visit St. Catherine Monastery and see the Burning Bush. Have sight of the Golden Calf too along the way. Then proceed to Taba Border to enter Israel. Meet  our local guide and after border formalities, drive via Eilat and Arava Desert before check in at  Hotel.  Dinner and overnight stay.

 

DAY 05 NOV 20:  FULL DAY JERUSALEM TOUR. Hotel breakfast. Drive to visit Mt. Scopus / Mount of Olives for Ascension Chapel which traditionally marks the place where Jesus ascended to heaven. Pater Noster Church where Jesus taught the “OUR FATHER” written in many languages. Walk along Palm Sunday Road, Dominus Flevit where the Lord wept after seeing the destruction of Jerusalem. Continue to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed on the night of his arrest. Then to Church of All Nations or Church of Agony. Then to Last Supper room / King David’s Tomb / Dormition Abbey and St. Peter’s Church in Gallicantu where Jesus was tried and denied three times. Return to Hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

 

DAY 06 NOV 21: JERUSALEM – BETHLEHEM – EIN KAREM Hotel breakfast. Morning visit to St. Anne’s Church- a traditional site of the house of Mary’s parents. Bethsaida’s Pool where Jesus healed a blind man. Wailing Wall the last vestige of the second temple, where Jews all over the world gather to commemorate the destruction of the first and second temple and pray for Israel’s restoration. Reflect while you follow the way of the cross–Via Dolorosa ending at the Holy Sepulchre Church—the burial place and resurrection of Jesus, before continuing to Bethlehem to visit the Church of Nativity for Manger’s Square inside the Grotto and a Silver Star which traditionally marks the place where Jesus was born. See the Chapel of St. Jerome, formerly a cave where He translated the Holy Bible to Latin. Next stop is Ein Karem for the church of St. John the Baptist and the Visitation Church or Church of the Magnificat where Mary came after Angel Gabriel informed her cousin Elizabeth was six months pregnant despite her advance years, Back to hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 07 NOV 22: VISIT JERICHO AND DEAD SEA AREA. Hotel breakfast. Will visit Jericho for Viewing of the Mountain then  to the Seycamore Tree / Bethany and Emmaus before proceed to dead sea area for swimming and visit Qumran then return to hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight stay.  

 

DAY 08 NOV 23: DEPART JERUSALEM FOR TIBERIAS. Hotel breakfast. Check out for New City of Jerusalem visiting Yad Vashem and Scale Model of Jerusalem. Then drive to visit Haifa for Basilica of Mt. Carmel then proceed to Cana, Nazareth for the RENEWAL OF VOWS at the Church of Annunciation which was believed to be where Angel Gabriel announced to the Blessed Mother of Christ  which she humbly accepted, “Behold the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word” and continue to Joseph’s workshop. Proceed to Tiberias for hotel check-in at Leonardo Club Hotel. Dinner and overnight

 

DAY 09 NOV 24: TIBERIAS. Hotel breakfast. Today’s tour includes morning boat ride at Sea of Galilee / Capernaum, the home of St. Peter, visit to Mount of Beatitudes the traditional site where Jesus uttered the immortal words “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of God”. Continue to Tabgha, the site where Jesus performed the Miracle of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes; visit the church of the loaf and fish Miracle. On the stone which serves as the altar, there is a mosaic of the basket of loaves flanked by two fish to commemorate this miraculous event. And two hundred yards away is The Primacy of Peter built in 1934 in basalt over a massive rock called “Mensa Christi”, Mount Tabor for the Church of Transfiguration and Yardenit for our Baptism Renewal. Dinner and overnight at  hotel in Tiberias. (with St. Peter’s Fish Lunch)

 

DAY 10 NOV 25: TIBERIAS-JORDAN–VIA SHEIK HUSSEIN BRIDGE. Hotel breakfast and check-out. Transfer to Sheik Hussein Bridge to enter Jordan.  After immigration formalities and clearance, meet tour guide then will have Panoramic City tour of Amman before continue to visit Mt. Nebo and Madaba before continue to hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight at Geneva Hotel.

 

DAY 11 NOV 26: DAY TOUR TO PETRA. Hotel breakfast.. Travel down the desert road to Wadi Mousa towards Petra (the Red Horse City) with horseback ride through “siq” (canyon) and see The  Treasury carved in pink stones. Continue to The Roman Theater, The Corinthian Tomb and The Palace Tomb to the Roman Road. Return to hotel in Amman for dinner and overnight.

 

DAY 12 NOV 27: DEPART JORDAN. HOTEL breakfast. Rest of the day at leisure then check out and transfer to Amman airport for flight to Manila.

 

DAY 13  NOV 28: Home sweet Home.
